About Alex Karman

Alex Karman’s life is shaped by service, leadership, and unwavering determination. A devoted husband and father of four, he has built a career marked by resilience, adaptability, and excellence, all while calling Boca Raton, Florida, home. From serving in the Iraq War on multiple deployments to transitioning into the private sector, he has led through it all, leading others to do more than they ever thought possible.

To date, his career has spanned military service, federal employment, and private-sector management, where he remains a leader. His professional journey demonstrates continued development, with each phase of his career contributing to his expertise in leadership, operational efficiency, and compliance.

Alex’s professional journey began as a United States Marine. He quickly rose to non-commissioned officer and participated in various operations during the Iraq War.  Alex had the privilege of supporting high-risk convoy security operations.  He also assumed additional duties as a supervisor, responsible for ensuring the readiness and safety of his team. This extraordinary service and show of leadership would later earn him the chance to travel and experience many parts of the world. One of his notable missions was on a Permanent Duty Station overseas in Okinawa, Japan, where he supervised the safety and general welfare of more than 30 service members under his leadership.

Alex also conducted day-to-day tasks such as physical training sessions and inspections of military engineering gear. His performance earned him several personal awards.

Transition to Public Service and a Commitment to Integrity and Justice Upon completing his military service, Alexander transitioned to the public sector as an employee of the Social Security Administration. In this capacity, he conducted investigative interviews, determined benefit eligibility, and negotiated extensive regulatory criteria. Alex’s fluency in English and the ability to speak Spanish enabled him to communicate with people from all walks of life and to ensure equitable and accurate treatment for all.

Beyond the day-to-day, he made life-altering decisions on cases involving congressional inquiries and overpayment recovery efforts. He reviewed financial data, collaborated with attorneys, and issued decisions directly impacting lives. His demonstration of analytical thinking and dedication to public service is always a priority.

In addition, he worked extensively in other areas, handling immigration policy knowledge and expertise in Medicare alongside a range of other federal benefit programs. His work on issues related to fraud prevention, debt recovery, and compliance exhibited his integrity in interpreting policies as intended while still serving his constituents.
